Lake beds in the Yammouneh basin (Lebanon) record more than 12,000 years of seismic history on the Levant fault.The Yammouneh fault bifurcates northward into two branches, one that passes beneath the Yammouneh Lake through the eastern part of Mount Lebanon and another that bisects the northern part of the Bekaa Valley
